Triboelectric Series-Trick to learn triboelectric Series

Triboelectric series-When you are studying electricity then you will find  the word triboelectric series.then so many questions are arises in your mind.Like,

  • What is triboelectric series?
  • How to define triboelectric series ?
  • How to use triboelectric series?
  • How to learn triboelectric series?
  • What does triboelectric series do?
No Problem, friend here i will try to give all the answers of your questions. So, Let's get start with the first question.

How an object gets charged?

When you rub two substances or may bring in contact with each other. Then, both the bodies/object become charged.

- The one out of these will get positive charge (who lose its number of electrons)

- Other will get negative charge ( who will gain that much number of electrons)

The electricity acquired by the  bodies by rubbing or being in contact with is also called triboelectricity.

What is Triboelectric series?

It is possible to arrange substances in a series such that when you rub two objects, the one higher up in the series gets positively charged, while the other gets negatively charged. Such a series is called triboelectric series.

How to define triboelectric series ?

A series in which all the insulating materials are arranged according to their getting capacity after rubbing with other object.

For example, when we rub Glass with the piece of paper. Then, Glass will lose its most of the electrons and that electrons are gained by the paper. So, Glass will get the same amount of positive charge as much the piece of paper will get negative charge.

If the Glass will lose its 50 electrons then the paper will get that 50 electrons and then Glass will get +50 charge and paper will get -50 charge.

How to use a triboelectric series?

In the Triboelectric series, all the substances are arranged in a particular arrangement/sequence.The material which is present at the top position will always get a positive charge and the material that is present at the bottom will always get a negative charge.
